The presentation covers the use of NMR spectroscopy in the USP NF compendia and other uses including the Reference Standards Evaluation. A historical summary of USP’s General Chapters covering spectroscopy in general and the NMR specifically is presented. The talk will discuss the evolution of NMR spectroscopy uses in USP-NF, since the NMR was introduced for the first time in the compendia and will show the current application and the rationale and a short summary of the proposed revision of those chapters.
