Dr. Celestine Chi is a distinguished researcher with a profound expertise in the realm of molecular sciences. Commencing a journey in academia, Celestine embarked on a transformative phase during doctoral studies at Uppsala University, Sweden, delving deeply into the intricacies of protein folding and binding from 2006 to 2012 under the supervision of Prof Per Jemth.

Driven by an insatiable curiosity for unraveling molecular mysteries, Celestine pursued a postdoctoral position at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, under the guidance of renowned scientist Prof. Roland Riek. This tenure, spanning from 2012 to 2017, honed Celestine’s skills in elucidating the structure, function, and dynamics of enzymes at an atomic level.

Transitioning into a leadership role, Celestine assumed the mantle of a group leader and NMR spectroscopist at the Biomedical Center, Uppsala University, Sweden, from 2017 to 2022. During this tenure, Celestine played a pivotal role in pioneering research initiatives and nurturing a new generation of scientific minds.

Presently, Celestine serves as an NMR specialist and Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca in Gothenburg, marking a transition to the industry in 2022. Within this role, Celestine focuses on unlocking the enigmatic world of non-coding genomes, unraveling their structural dynamics, and pioneering novel methodologies to target these entities with precision using small molecules.

With an illustrious career spanning diverse facets of molecular research, Celestine continues to push the boundaries of scientific discovery, aiming to decode the fundamental complexities of molecular entities for the betterment of science and medicine.
