In 2000, Carrie was hired into the Corporate Analytical NMR laboratory of Procter & Gamble after acquiring a BS in Chemistry from Miami University. During the first 6 years of her career, she exclusively used and managed 3 high field Varian spectrometers and specialized in chemometric analysis of data. In 2006, the team added a 700 and 600 MHz Bruker system to their instrument portfolio. As a member of the Corporate Analytical Group, Carrie has applied NMR spectroscopy to a vast range of consumer products and biological systems, from raw materials to finished products to metabolomics. An ongoing aspect of her job has been managing and establishing open access spectrometers at multiple sites throughout Cincinnati. Through this avenue, she trained and collaborated with organic chemists to meet project goals and improve data acquisition and interpretation. The past few years of Carrie’s career have been focused on low field NMR work. In addition to her career at P&G, Carrie has been married for over 23 years and has two teenagers and two dogs. She enjoys traveling, cooking, visiting new breweries and watching sports and musicals.
